I have two paintings in this worthwhile fundraiser opening tomorrow night at 6.00pm...
126 is pleased to invite you to our "Affordable Art Christmas Market", we will have a "Gammy Geansaí" social evening with live music by Jade Reynolds and some cringy classics on the speakers to launch the market on Friday, December 14th from 6pm. Did I mention there will be mulled wine to keep us warm? There are also some great spot prizes for the most spectacular gammy Christmas geansaí's so make sure to wear yours!
As many of you know 126 is a not for Profit voluntary run organisation which aims to support and provide professional opportunities to our members. Every year we must fundraise for up to 14,000 to cover just the core costs of running the gallery from electricity and heat to repairs/upgrades and rent. This Christmas we invited our generous members to take part once again in 126’s week-long “Affordable Art, Christmas Market” from December 14th to Sunday 23rd. The Market will be anonymous, it will only be revealed who the artist is once the piece has been sold. Come along and buy something you love and support both 126 and the artists this Christmas. All works are less than €150 and available to take away with you immediately.
Open 12-6 pm Saturday, 15th - Sunday 23rd December.

I was one of 12 artists given a random photo taken by a local teenager, each artist then made a piece of art inspired by the photo. Cathal Morgan took a great shot of a hurl and sliotars called "Clash of the Ash" I really liked his composition and painted a landscape with a bit of drama called "Territorial Clash". Thanks to Cathal, I hope he keeps taking great photos!! Smart Arts Exhibition with KAVA had a wonderful show in November, all the talented teenagers participated in a Smart Phone workshops with photographer Markus Voetter. Well done all! KAVA in collaboration with #galway2020
I'm delighted to announce that I'm having a solo show in the University Hospital Galway, in association with University Hospital Galway Arts Trust. Many thanks to Arts Director Margaret Flannery and Bridget Cheasty for all their support and also to my pal and fellow artist Hilary Morley for making the poster for the show, the image used is a painting called "Ornithologist" . In this exhibition "Gardenland" I consider the connection between my controlled garden space and that of the bordering wild natural landscape. This body of work is an emotional response to that surrounding landscape and my love of nature and the environment. THE LAUNCH TAKES PLACE AT 6.30 JUST UP FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE HOSPITAL ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2ND.
My painting "Garden Guest" is hanging in the window of Fox's restaurant, Kinvara. Kinvara Area Visual Artists will exhibit their work in the windows of Main St. Kinvara during this weekends Cruinniu na mBad,the work will be on display until August 19th.
I painted "Until the Sea Shall Free Them" (Suzanne,Leonard Cohen 😊) especially for Kinvara Bay Sailing Club, hope it helps to raise a few bob for this community based non-profit organisation which teaches adults and kids how to sail even if you don't have a boat! It's on display in the Pier Head and will be raffled in the Sailing Tent during the Cruinniu this weekend 10th-12th August, 5 euro a ticket!
